Overview

Geospatial analysis often involves computationally expensive operations like distance calculations, spatial joins, and geometric operations across large datasets. This example demonstrates parallelizing spatial analysis across geographic regions.

The Problem

You need to analyze 100 retail locations across 20 metropolitan areas to: - Calculate distances to competitors - Identify optimal delivery zones - Compute demographic coverage - Analyze spatial clustering - Generate market penetration metrics

Each region can be analyzed independently, making this ideal for parallel processing.
